The Los Hermanos Christian Brothers in Bonita Springs, Florida share Christ's love by ministering to the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the local community and surrounding areas.
Los Hermanos are officially the Congregation of Christian Brothers originally from Ireland. Responding to the call of Bishop Nevins, the Brothers came to Bonita Springs in 1989 to attend to the needs of the growing Hispanic community. Their message to the Brothers was, "Teach us English" and "Help us to learn about our faith." These are still the main objects of our ministry here, and the ministry has also grown to serving others through providing housing, clothing, helping to navigate legal and cultural issues, translating documents -- all the things that make living and learning possible.
